Hospitals keep running, stores stay open until late and offices need their floors back on Monday. PU self levelling flooring suits these jobs well. It can be laid in phases, it takes foot traffic within about a day, and the finished floor is jointless, quiet and easy to maintain.
Hospitals and nursing homes. Wards, ICUs, labs and corridors need a floor with no grout lines or seams that can be disinfected repeatedly. We run the floor up the wall as a cove so there is no dirty corner.
Diagnostic and pathology labs. A sealed floor that handles spills and doesn't shed dust onto samples.
Retail stores and showrooms. Stores in malls and high streets use self levelling PU for a clean, modern look that handles heavy footfall and display changes.
Offices and co-working spaces. Plain grey or white floors with a satin finish, comfortable underfoot and quieter than tiles.
Light industrial units. Clean assembly and packing rooms in Okhla, Mayapuri and Naraina.
For stores and offices, we usually work after closing time. A typical sequence for a small store looks like this:
Larger spaces are divided into zones. Hospitals are planned ward by ward with the facility team, using low-odour materials.
Basement moisture. Many Delhi buildings have basements used as stores, clinics or gyms, and basement slabs are often damp. Poured floors over wet slabs blister. We test moisture before quoting and use moisture-tolerant primers or a barrier layer where needed.
Existing stone floors. Older buildings often have kota stone, marble or terrazzo. These can usually be overlaid after grinding, which avoids noisy demolition in an occupied building.
Dust and pollution. In winter, fine dust in the air can settle on a fresh floor. We keep the room sealed during the pour and the first hours of curing.
Access and building rules. Many commercial buildings restrict work hours, noise and material movement. We agree these with building management before the job starts.
After a survey and moisture test, the existing surface is ground and repaired. Coves are formed where needed. The floor is primed, and the self levelling PU is poured to 2 to 4 mm, spread and rolled to release air. A satin or matt topcoat is applied last.
For a small store with a sound existing floor, often yes. We confirm after seeing the floor, because repairs and moisture can add time.
For general gym floors, yes. Under heavy free weights, rubber mats are still recommended to protect the floor from dropped weights.
If the tiles are firmly bonded, yes. We grind, fill the joints and prime before pouring. Loose tiles have to be removed first.
