Ghaziabad's industry is mostly engineering, electrical goods, packaging and food, spread across Sahibabad, the Meerut Road and Bulandshahr Road industrial areas, and Loni. The city also has a large number of hospitals serving residents across the district. The factories need clean rooms within dusty plants, and the hospitals need hygienic floors. PU self levelling flooring works in both settings.

Clean rooms inside industrial plants

A common situation in Ghaziabad is a factory where most of the floor is a working shop floor, but a few rooms need to be much cleaner: an electronics assembly area, a pharma packing room, a QC lab or a food packing section. These rooms need a smooth, jointless, dust-free floor.

PU self levelling flooring is a good fit for them. It seals the concrete so it stops shedding dust, it can be coved up the walls, and its light colours make dirt easy to see. For rooms handling electronic components, we can lay an antistatic version.

The shop floor outside these rooms usually needs something tougher, such as a heavy-duty epoxy or PU concrete. We plan the transition carefully so forklifts and trolleys don't damage the edge of the clean room floor.

Hospitals and clinics

Ghaziabad's hospitals and nursing homes use PU self levelling floors in:

  • ICUs, wards and recovery rooms
  • operation theatre complexes
  • pathology labs and blood banks
  • corridors with heavy trolley traffic

It is quieter underfoot than tiles, handles frequent disinfection and has no grout lines to trap dirt.

Practical points for Ghaziabad sites

Oil in factory floors. Rooms converted from old shop floor space often have oil soaked into the concrete. It has to be removed by cutting out or deep grinding, because the PU won't bond to oily concrete.

Vibration from machinery. Rooms next to presses or heavy machines can have fine cracks from vibration. We repair these and, if needed, add a crack-bridging layer before the self levelling floor.

Dust from surrounding work. During installation we seal the room and ask for nearby grinding or cutting to stop until the floor has set.

Installation process

  1. Site survey, moisture test and flatness check
  2. Grinding or shot blasting, oil removal and crack repair
  3. Screeding low spots and forming wall coves
  4. Priming
  5. Pouring the self levelling PU to 2 to 4 mm and de-aerating
  6. Applying a satin or matt topcoat

Most rooms are ready for foot traffic in about a day, with full use after a few days.

FAQs

Can a clean room floor be laid while the rest of the factory keeps running?

Yes. The clean room is sealed off during the work, and the rest of the plant carries on. We just need nearby dust-producing work paused during the pour.

What thickness is right for an electronics assembly room?

Usually 2 mm is enough for foot traffic and light trolleys. We go thicker if there are heavier carts or equipment.

Does it resist oil from nearby machines?

Occasional oil spills wipe off without damaging the floor. For areas under constantly leaking machines, a harder epoxy system may last longer.
