Most waterproofing jobs that fail don't fail because of a bad product. They fail because the product went on the wrong surface. A damp patch on a ceiling might be coming from the terrace, a bathroom upstairs, a leaking pipe or a neighbour's wall. A damp wall might be rain getting in, moisture rising from the ground or plain condensation. Each needs a different fix. So every waterproofing job we do starts with finding where the water actually comes from.

Waterproofing systems we use

Liquid PU membranes. Elastic, seamless coatings for terraces and exposed roofs. They move with the slab and are finished with a UV-stable topcoat.

Acrylic elastomeric coatings. For external walls and budget roof protection. They bridge fine cracks and let walls breathe.

Cementitious waterproofing. Flexible cement-polymer coatings for bathrooms under tiles, water tanks and internal wet areas.

Crystalline waterproofing. Penetrates concrete and reacts with moisture to block pores. Useful from the inside of basements and tanks, where water pressure comes from outside.

Polyurethane injection. Seals actively leaking cracks by reacting with water inside the crack.

Bituminous membranes. Used in some roofing and below-ground situations, usually protected from sunlight.

How we work

  1. Investigate. Moisture readings, the pattern and timing of damp, and water tests where needed.
  2. Fix the source. Plumbing leaks, blocked drains and failed outlets are dealt with first.
  3. Prepare. Remove failed coatings and loose material, repair cracks and form fillets at corners.
  4. Detail. Seal outlets, pipes, fixings and joints, where most leaks start.
  5. Apply. Apply the chosen system at the specified thickness.
  6. Test. Ponding tests on terraces and wet areas where practical.

Timing

External and roof work needs dry weather, so the best window in north India is October to May. The monsoon is the best time to locate leaks, because that's when they show. Internal work such as bathrooms, tanks and basement injection can often be done year-round.

FAQs

Will painting the inside of the wall stop seepage?

No. Internal paint hides the stain for a while. The water has to be stopped where it enters.

How do you find where a leak is coming from?

With moisture readings, by looking at when and where the damp appears, and by water testing suspected areas.

Is waterproofing possible during the monsoon?

Internal work and leak investigation, yes. External and roof coatings are best done in dry weather.

Do you use drinking-water-safe coatings for tanks?

For drinking water tanks the coating has to be rated safe for potable water. We check the product data sheet for this before work starts.
