Choosing epoxy flooring contractors in Punjab

If you've asked three contractors in Punjab for an epoxy flooring quote, you've probably received three very different prices for what sounds like the same job. 1. Will you visit the site before quoting? A per-square-foot price over the phone can't account for the condition of your slab. Serious contractors want to see the floor.

2. Will you test the slab for moisture? Moisture is the most common cause of epoxy blistering in Punjab, especially on ground floors after the monsoon. If a contractor doesn't mention it, ask.

3. How will the surface be prepared? Grinding or shot blasting opens the concrete so epoxy can bond. Just sweeping and priming is cheaper and is a common reason floors peel.

4. What thickness will be applied? Ask for it in microns for coatings or millimetres for self levelling and screeds. A 300 micron coating and a 3 mm self levelling floor are completely different products.

5. How many coats, and which primer? A proper system usually includes a primer, a body coat and a topcoat, not a single coat.

6. How will cracks, joints and oily areas be handled? These are where floors fail first. The quote should say how they are treated.

7. What product will be used, and can we see the data sheet? Reputable systems have technical data sheets showing properties and curing times.

8. When can we use the floor? You should get written times for foot traffic, forklifts and chemical cleaning.
