Choosing the right epoxy system

Epoxy isn't right for everything. It yellows in strong sunlight, it is rigid, and it doesn't like steam or boiling water. For sunny areas we suggest EPU flooring. For hot, wet processing areas, PU concrete is better.

What we check before laying epoxy

1. Slab age and moisture. New slabs in Roorkee's monsoon months can hold a lot of water. Epoxy over a damp slab blisters.
2. Surface strength. Weak, dusty tops need grinding back to sound concrete.
3. Cracks and joints. Stable cracks are filled, moving joints are kept flexible.

The installation

The floor is ground or shot blasted with dust extraction, repaired, primed and coated to the specified build. Foot traffic can usually return in about a day. Forklifts and full chemical exposure need longer, typically several days, and we give you the timings in writing.
