Delhi's older buildings carry decades of concrete problems: cracked basement slabs that leak after rain, parking ramps with broken edges, shop and warehouse floors full of potholes and crumbling joints. Most of these can be repaired without breaking out and recasting the concrete. The trick is choosing the right repair for each kind of damage, and a lot of repairs fail because the wrong material was used.

Matching the repair to the damage

DamageUsual repair
Dry, stable cracksLow-viscosity epoxy injection or gravity filling
Cracks leaking waterPolyurethane injection, which reacts with water and seals
Cracks that open and closeFlexible sealant or PU-based repair
Potholes and spalled areasCut to shape, prime, fill with epoxy mortar
Broken joint edgesRebuild arrises with epoxy mortar, then seal joint
Exposed, rusting reinforcementClean steel, treat against corrosion, rebuild with repair mortar

Epoxy is strong and rigid, which is perfect for bonding stable concrete back together. It is the wrong choice for a crack that is still moving or wet, and that is where many Delhi repair jobs go wrong.

Basement cracks and leaks

Basement slabs and walls in Delhi often crack, and during the monsoon those cracks bring water in. Filling a wet, leaking crack with epoxy rarely works, because epoxy needs a dry surface to bond. For these cracks we use polyurethane injection: resin is pumped in through small ports drilled along the crack, where it reacts with the water and expands to seal the path. Once the leak has stopped, the surface can be repaired and coated.

Parking ramps and driveways

Ramps and driveways take braking and turning forces that break up concrete edges and surfaces. We cut out damaged sections with square edges, prime them and rebuild with epoxy mortar, which reaches usable strength quickly. That matters when a building can only close a ramp overnight.

Shop floors and warehouses

Older commercial and industrial buildings in Okhla, Naraina, Mayapuri and Wazirpur often have floors with potholes, crumbling patches and open joints. After repairs, the floor can be left as it is, densified or coated, depending on budget and use.

Working around Delhi's constraints

Most of our Delhi repair work happens in buildings that stay open. We plan around that by:

  • working at night or on weekends where needed
  • using fast-curing repair materials so areas reopen quickly
  • controlling dust with extraction on cutting and grinding tools
  • agreeing noise hours and access with building management

What we check before repairing

Some cracks are cosmetic, and some point to a structural problem. Wide cracks, cracks that are growing, or cracks in beams, columns or suspended slabs should be looked at by a structural engineer before any floor repair. We will tell you if we think that's the case. Floor repair shouldn't hide a structural issue.

FAQs

Can a leaking basement crack be sealed from inside?

Often yes, with polyurethane injection from the inside face. Very large or multiple leaks may need a broader waterproofing solution.

How quickly can a ramp be reopened after repair?

Epoxy mortar repairs usually reach usable strength within about a day, depending on temperature. We confirm for each job.

Do repaired patches show?

Yes, repairs usually look different from the original concrete. If appearance matters, a coating over the whole area gives a uniform finish.
