Heavy presses shake their foundations loose, dropped billets break the floor surface, and steel-wheeled trolleys chew up joint edges until the joints become trenches. Most owners patch these areas with cement mortar, and the patch breaks out again within weeks. Epoxy-based repairs bond far better to old concrete, gain strength in hours rather than weeks, and let you get the machine or aisle back into use quickly.
Machine foundation and base plate grouting. When a press or CNC base plate loosens, the grout underneath has usually cracked or crumbled. We remove the failed grout, clean the foundation and pour a flowable epoxy grout under the base plate. Epoxy grout handles vibration and oil much better than cement grout. Anchor bolts that have worked loose can be reset in epoxy as well.
Broken joint edges. Open floor joints chip under hard wheels, and the damage spreads. We saw-cut square edges on each side, remove broken concrete and rebuild the joint arrises with epoxy mortar. The joint is then filled or sealed so wheels roll over it.
Potholes and spalls. Holes where the floor surface has broken away are cut to a regular shape with vertical edges, cleaned, primed and filled with epoxy mortar. We avoid "feather-edged" patches that taper to nothing, since those break off first.
Cracks. Fine, stable cracks can be filled with low-viscosity epoxy. Cracks that open and close with temperature or machine vibration need a flexible filler instead, because a rigid epoxy will just crack alongside.
A repair only lasts if the reason for the damage is understood. We look for:
Sometimes the right advice includes a change in how the area is used, such as steel plates under dies or polyurethane wheels on trolleys.
Epoxy mortars are excellent for small and medium repairs and anywhere you need fast strength. For very large areas, epoxy expands and contracts differently from concrete, so a polymer-modified cementitious repair mortar can be more suitable. Where the slab itself is broken through, sections may need to be cut out and recast. We tell you which applies.
Epoxy repair mortars typically take foot traffic within hours and light loads within about a day, depending on temperature. In Ludhiana's winter, curing slows, so we warm the repair area or allow more time before loading. Machine grouting jobs are planned with your maintenance team so the machine is down for the shortest possible time.
Often yes. The press is supported, failed grout is removed from under the base plate, and epoxy grout is poured in. Very badly damaged foundations may need more work.
Usually within about 24 hours at normal temperatures. We confirm for each repair.
If the crack is stable, a proper epoxy repair holds. If the slab is still moving, the crack will reappear unless a flexible repair is used or the movement is dealt with.
