Forklifts bang across the gaps, the edges break away and the joint becomes a trench. Then the loading dock edges crumble where trucks and dock levellers hit them. After that, potholes appear along the busiest forklift routes. Each problem is cheap to fix early and expensive to fix late, which is why we encourage warehouse managers to repair joints as soon as they start breaking.
A broken joint does more than look bad:
Our joint repair process is straightforward. We saw-cut parallel lines either side of the damaged joint, break out the loose concrete, prime the exposed edges and rebuild them with epoxy mortar. The joint is then reformed and filled with a semi-rigid joint filler that supports the edges under wheels while allowing small slab movement.
Dock edges take impact from truck tailgates, dock leveller lips and pallet jacks. Damaged edges make levellers sit badly and create a trip and wheel hazard. We rebuild dock edges with high-strength epoxy mortar and, where damage keeps recurring, recommend steel edge angles anchored into the concrete.
Potholes are cut to a rectangular shape with vertical sides, cleaned and primed, then filled with epoxy mortar and finished flush with the surrounding floor. Square-edged patches last much longer than irregular patches that taper at the edges.
Factory floors near heavy machinery in Sahibabad and along Meerut Road often crack from vibration and heavy loads. Stable cracks are filled with low-viscosity epoxy. Moving cracks get a flexible repair. Wide or growing cracks should be checked by a structural engineer.

Cement patches are cheaper, but in busy warehouses they often have to be redone repeatedly.
We repair joints and potholes in short sections, often overnight or between shifts. Fast-curing epoxy mortars mean forklifts can usually return within a day. Traffic is diverted around the repair with cones and barriers.

Not necessarily. Many warehouses only need joint and pothole repairs plus a densifier. A coating is worth it if you also want colour, marking or easier cleaning.
Properly rebuilt joints with the right filler last many years. The filler may need topping up as slabs continue to shrink slightly.
