Amritsar receives a huge number of visitors every day, and a lot of them arrive by car, taxi or tour coach. Hotels near the old city, hospitals, malls and commercial buildings all have parking areas that fill up and empty many times a day. That constant churn wears concrete fast. Dust, oil stains, faded markings and slippery ramps soon make a parking area look neglected, and guests notice.

Hotel basements and parking

For hotels, the car park is often the first thing a guest sees on arrival and the last on departure. Owners usually want:

• a clean, bright floor rather than grey dusty concrete
• clear marking for guest, staff and valet parking
• a safe, textured ramp surface for cars and luggage trolleys
• a floor that can be cleaned quickly by the housekeeping team

We use an epoxy or PU coating system in basements, with anti-skid texture on ramps and at entrances, and bold marking in the hotel's chosen colours where appropriate.

Hospital parking

Hospital car parks deal with ambulances, patients' families and staff, often all at once. Marking matters as much as the floor itself: ambulance routes, drop-off zones, disabled bays and pedestrian walkways need to be obvious. The floor must also be easy to clean and resistant to oil and fuel.

Multi-level and commercial parking

Covered levels of multi-level parking use wear-resistant coatings with anti-skid ramps. Open top decks need a flexible, UV-stable PU deck system that also keeps rain from leaking to the level below.

Coaches and heavier vehicles

Some hotel and commercial parking areas take tour coaches and minibuses. Their axle loads are much heavier than cars, and tight turning scrubs the floor hard. These bays and routes need a thicker, aggregate-filled system, and we plan them separately from car bays.

Punjab's weather

Hot summers soften some coatings on open decks, so we use systems rated for high surface temperatures there. In winter, cold slabs slow curing. We schedule work for suitable temperatures and check dew point before coating open areas. The monsoon brings rainwater in on tyres, so drains and falls in basements are checked before any coating goes down.

4. Primer, then the wearing coat, with anti-skid texture on ramps

FAQs

Can the hotel car park stay open during the work?

Yes. We work in sections, often at night, and move parking around the work zone.

How long before cars can use a newly coated section?

Usually a few days, depending on the system and temperature. We give a date for each section.

Can you remove old oil stains before coating?

Surface stains are ground away. Deeply soaked patches are cut out and repaired so the coating bonds properly.
