Terrace waterproofing and roof protection in Amritsar, Punjab

In Amritsar, the terrace is part of daily life. Families dry clothes, spread papad and warriyan in the sun, sleep out on summer nights and gather for festivals up there. Hotels near the old city run rooftop dining with views across the rooftops. All that foot traffic, furniture and activity wears roof finishes much faster than a roof that nobody walks on. Terraces that are used every day

Planters get internal waterproofing, drainage and a root-resistant layer, since they are a common cause of leaks into rooms below.

Punjab weather and curing

Amritsar summers are hot, and winters are cold with foggy mornings. Coatings shouldn't be applied on very hot afternoons or when dew is on the roof. The best times are October–November and February–April. Winter work is possible in the middle of the day with longer curing times.
