Delhi's industrial work is spread across old estates such as Okhla, Mayapuri, Naraina, Wazirpur, Narela and Bawana. On top of that there is a huge amount of commercial space: hospitals, malls, offices, restaurants and basement car parks. Floors here tend to be old, patched more than once, and still in use while the work happens. We cover Delhi from our base in Roorkee. Most jobs start with a site visit to check the slab, before anyone talks about which coating to use.
| Site type | Common floor problem | System we usually look at |
|---|---|---|
| Older industrial estates | Worn, dusty, cracked concrete with oil stains | Crack repair, then epoxy coating or densifier |
| Food units and commercial kitchens | Hot water, grease, blocked drains | PU concrete with coving |
| Hospitals and labs | Hygiene, a seamless finish, static control in OTs | PU self levelling, ESD flooring |
| Basement and multi-level car parks | Dust, tyre marks, seepage | Anti-skid car park coating, crack sealing |
| Old terraces | Ceiling leaks every monsoon | PU membrane with a heat-reflective topcoat |
Access and timing. Many estates have narrow lanes and fixed hours for trucks, so material deliveries are planned in advance.
Working around operations. Shops, hospitals and kitchens rarely close for a week. Work is usually split into sections, with night or weekend shifts where the building allows it.
Old floors. Earlier coatings, tiles or IPS toppings often have to come off before anything new goes down. Skipping this step is the most common reason a new floor peels.
Summer heat. Resin sets much faster in 40-degree weather, so material is mixed in small batches and the work is done in the cooler part of the day.
Monsoon. Terraces and external areas are best done between October and May. Internal floors can be done year-round.

Yes, but on very small areas travel and setup make up a bigger share of the cost. If a DIY floor paint would do the job, we'll say so.
Often yes, in phases. Fast-curing systems help, but each section still has to stay closed until it has cured.
Yes. The price and the right system both depend on the condition of the concrete, its moisture level and any old coating.
